WELCOME

Welcome to Region 5 of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Theatrical excellence is alive and thriving at colleges and universities all across the seven-state Great Plains region! Each year, nearly 2,000 enthusiastic students and their faculty mentors from approximately 75 institutions gather for our regional festival in January, where they interact with each other, with quality productions chosen from regional institutions, and with theater professionals from both within the area and around the country. This process of sharing our work with each other really begins with the 200-some productions that are entered throughout each year at the “associate” or “participating” level and responded to by Region 5 peer colleagues.

Whether you are new to KCACTF and/or Region 5, or you are a “long-timer” simply looking for information, I invite you to point-and-click your way through all the various information you find on our website. We are committed to keeping the information you find here as updated as possible, but if you do not find what you seek, do not hesitate to contact me or the other regional leadership if we can be of some help.

Again, welcome and best wishes for success wherever your theatrical passion takes you!
