Michael Kanin Awards for Full-Length Plays

Playwrights are invited to submit plays with a running time that exceeds sixty minutes in the various categories of the Michael Kanin Playwriting Awards.
Please note that you must meet the requirements of the awards you choose to enter and that you must enter your play in a specific Michael Kanin Award category. For a list of these awards, see the “Full Length Plays Cover Sheet.”

David Mark Cohen Award: Scripts are to be submitted only to the regional chair, Richard Herman rherman@ucmo.edu by October 26, 2009.
All other suitable Michael Kanin Awards: Scripts are to be submitted to the regional chair, Richard Herman rherman@ucmo.edu  AND to the Kennedy Center National Office (GHENRY@KENNEDY-CENTER.ORG) by October 26, 2009.

Each script that is submitted must be accompanied by a cover sheet. Please, read the cover sheet carefully; it contains important submission instructions.
In order to make the evaluation process as easy as possible for our readers, we ask that scripts follow uniform formatting practices. See KCACTF Script Format for details.
Students that attend a school that had a KCACTF Associate or Participating entry between January 1 and December 1, 2009, may enter 1-2 full-length plays in the Michael Kanin categories of their choice.

Every effort will be made to handle submissions with care. However, neither KCACTF nor Region V will be responsible for misdirected or lost submissions. Within one week after you submit your script, you should receive an email confirmation stating that we have received it. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact Richard Herman.
